Our Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) Management service specializes in the collection and analysis of energy use and facilitation of GHG reduction and monitoring programs including Voluntary Challenge & Registry (VCR) and National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) reporting.
In addition to our domestic expertise, we also offer services in the area of Global Climate Change and the development of Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM) and Joint Implementation (JI) credit trading programs in accordance with the Kyoto protocol.
CDM and JI provide emission reduction offsets through investment in lower cost and higher yield energy and emission reduction projects in developing countries. At Stantec, we recommend that companies implement an energy and emissions management program and report progress to Voluntary Challenge and Registry Inc. (VCR Inc.) as well as to the CAPP Stewardship Program for the oil and gas sector.
