Technology Description:

VREMS technology differs from conventional design topologies in that the voltage reduction step-down is managed in such a way as to ensure continuous voltage to the load. Conventional topologies require additional electronics to manage spikes that tend to occur during tap switching. Further, VREMS allows for complete lighting power management by supplying users with energy consumption reports for accounting and financial applications.

Plitron Manufacturing has developed a Lighting Management System called VREMS (Voltage Regulation Energy Management System) that steps down voltage to reduce power consumption for commercial and industrial lighting systems. VREMS can lower voltage in finite steps by using specified windings and advanced toroidal transformer technologies.
