Technology Description:

The Winston Works is Drainwater Heat Recovery (DHR). We have invented, developed and tested the world's only all-drainwater, all- drainpipe heat exchangers. They recover paid-for HEAT from hot drainwater (baths, showers, etc. (and industrial processes)) and transfer it to pre-heat fresh cold water for the water heater/boiler.

Our DHRs include horizontal and vertical designs with unique one-way heat transfer that, for the first time, enables heat storage from hot drainwater (i.e. a dishwasher draining) with no heat loss to cold drainwater (i.e. a toilet flush). This means existing drainpipes can be used without re-plumbing.

Products and Services:

Our DHR products include both vertical and horizontal models, each with or without heat storage. Heat storage is needed for DHR from baths, sinks, and washing machines (dish, laundry). Heat storage is not essential for shower-only DHR.
