Description:
Ekobrykiet intends to build a transformation plant in the township of Katowice in Poland to transform raw coal into more environmentally friendly coal known as "smoke free" coal. The raw coal will be supplied by mines located in the area of the Ekobrykiet plant and the transportation will be via both truck and rail. Smoke free coal can be characterized by easiness of ignition, elevated energy content and modest emission of dusts, tars, and other cryogenic and toxic substances as compared with standard grades of coal. The technology has already been proven by the Institute of Chemical Coal Transformation located in Zabrze in Poland. ESI's management have very detailed analysis on the technical aspects of the process. We are aware of similar transformation plants currently operating in Germany and England. The output of the transformation process is a 60 gram briquette. The briquettes are suitable for burning in both residential as well as industrial applications. A by product of the transformation process in combustible gas which has industrial applications. The project will be undertaken by Ekobrykiet Sp. Zo.o, a Polish limited liability company owned 49% by Ecosystem and 51% by a consortium of Polish companies.
