Description:
In 1996, the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) for Agropecuaria Popoyan, retained the RSW INTERNATIONAL engineering services for the construction of a power plant on the Sibaja River in Guatemala. The work included a desilting basin and the construction of a 2-km inlet channel, a water intake complete with penstock and a powerplant housing two Francis turbine units developing 2 MW under a net head of 115 m.
